Our History

Government Industrial Training Institute, Araria (Sub-division: Raniganj), was established in 2016 under the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s Saat Nischay initiative, which aimed to set up an ITI in every sub-division of Bihar to provide quality skill education to rural youth. Our ITI is located in Kharsahi, under Raniganj Block of Araria District. The institute is approximately 26 km from Araria District Headquarters. It is about 32 km from Forbesganj. The nearest Railway station is Forbesganj which is 34 km from this place.And the nearest Airport is Bagdogra Airport which is 157 km from this institute. The campus of this institute is expand in 7 acre Area and it has several building including Adminsitration building, Workshop buiding, Tata tech workshop building, Employee and office's quarter and a small play ground. The Area of campus is beautiful and surrounded by green field of agricultural land.

The campus is easily accessible by road. Regular local transport, including buses, autos, and private vehicles, connects Kharsahi to both Araria and Forbesganj, making it convenient for students coming from nearby rural and urban areas.

At present, the institute offers training in seven NCVT-recognized trades:

Mechanic Electronics

ICTSM (Information & Communication Technology System Maintenance)

Welder

Mechanic Diesel

Plumber

The fee of training is negligible 40 rupess per month* only.

Since its establishment, Government ITI Araria has helped hundreds of trainees secure employment in various government and private organizations, as well as in self-employment ventures. The institute continues to play a significant role in generating skilled manpower and contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.

We aim to ensure that no student is left behind due to lack of resources, and that every trainee is equipped with the technical abilities needed to build a secure and successful future.

Under the visionary Saat Nischay initiative of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bihar, new ITIs have been established in Araria along with every sub-division of Bihar so that the youth of rural areas can receive quality skill-based education. Today, seeing this vision come true through our institute fills me with great pride and happiness. I consider it a privilege to have been entrusted with the responsibility of shaping and developing this institution and trainee of Araria Sub-division.
